What is this article really about?
If you are an Indian and watch animation shows like Naruto, Demon Slayer, Death Note, then you must have thought about why India doesn't make animation shows like this. Most of us think that Indians are not creative enough to make their own anime-like animation shows. Are Indians really not creative? Shouldn't we be making animation shows like anime in India? And if it isn't, then why doesn't our India have any high-quality animation content yet? Today we have come here to answer all these questions.
A little request:- I want to request you to read this article completely. This will change all your view on Indian animators and introduce you to that side of Indian animation that no one talks about.
Let's dive into this in a very straightforward way.
The real creativity of Indian Animators.
If you think that Indians can only produce low-quality content like Motu Patlu, Chotta Bheem, then my friend you have to change your thinking. Every coin has its two sides and you don't know the other side of our Indian animation. We will talk about that side of Indian animation which is Indian but their work will leave you stunned.
Did you know that the famous Khaleesi's three dragons of the HBO series Game Of Thrones are created at an Indian studio at Goregoan, Mumbai? An Indian subsidiary of Prana Studios - a 3d, visual effects, and animation based in Los Angeles - developed the three fire-breathing beasts for the fifth season of the record-breaking TV series, Game of Thrones with 800 Indian animators day and night. You can see the images here. Not only this, our Indian studios have contributed immensely to many Hollywood hits like Disney's Maleficent, DreamWorks's How to train your dragon, and many more.
Now you must have known that there is no dearth of talent and creativity in our India.
If we have creativity then why we are still making bullshit for our country and working for others?
We have a lot of creativity and talent, but these talents and creativity do not get a place here, so they work for someone else in other countries. Even if someone still creates high-quality content with all his potential, then he does not get enough money for that work so that he can make his profit and that is why such companies and studios get closed soon or go out somewhere and start working for others as service providers.
Now there are some companies and studios who start making low-quality content to make their profit and we can see the result in dump shows like Motu-Patlu and Chhota Bheem.
Another reason for this is also the mentality of people. Where in Japan anime is made keeping in mind the people of each and every age group, whereas in India animation has been given the tag of children's cartoon only. And this is a big problem for any country.
Has India ever tried to create this kind of content?
If I tell you that India has also tried to create this kind of content and has created many explosive contents, then you will definitely be shocked. And one of the best examples is UTV Motion Picture's Arjun The Warrior Prince directed by Arnab Chaudhuri. This is the movie which almost made the oscar. Animation to storyboard everything will blow your mind and win your heart.
The Future of Indian Animation.
This is a very big topic itself and we will discuss it later in detail.
In short, some companies and studios are now coming and making their interest to give the Indian animation a new height. And this credit goes to the new generation and the growing communities like anime and manga fans in India. New opportunities are coming and many companies and studios are showing interest in it.
Give your support to the first Indian Anime.
Studio Durga announces the first Indian anime Karmachakra without any collaboration and I am sure you are not aware of this. They need your support and let's make it a success so that it gives the new face for Indian Animation. This is not any promotion or sponsor, I am telling about this because this anime can give the Indian animation industry a new face and can bring the Indian animation industry to new heights.
Please share this article as much as you can so that everyone will know the true side of Indian animation and help them to change their thoughts and mentality on Indian Animation.
